At Arise Kids…
We believe God created parents as their children’s first pastors.
Arise Children’s Leaders are Partners to the Parents.
Our children’s ministry leaders are not the pastors responsible for the spiritual growth and discipleship of the students. Instead, these Parent Partners are catalysts and coaches for families in their discipleship journey. Our Parent Partners provide age-appropriate resources for parents and activities for children from birth through 5th grade that begin on Sunday and carry on throughout the week! This can look like take home activities to share around the dinner table, family-centered events in the community to live life together, or teaching parents how to pray over and with their kids at night or in church service.
We Do Kids Church a Little Differently
Arise uses a hybrid model of children’s ministry. What does this look like?
We want children to be able to adjust well to the main adult gathering in “Big Church” without seeing it as “boring”. We do this through a once-a-month, interactive family service called “Family Sundays” every first Sunday service of the month. This is a family-friendly service where the children K-5 are in the main service with their parents with an interactive message and kids activities. Parents also have a chance to show their children how to worship and pray over them.
