Arise’s Guiding Values
How We are Formed by the Bible &
Activated by the Holy Spirit
Formation
-
Connection with Father God:
Authentic relationship with God, believing that through Jesus we have been invited to come boldly before His throne with confidence and freedom. We are not called into distant religion, but into real friendship with God — walking with Him daily, hearing His voice, and living from a place of nearness to His heart.
We encourage every person to know God personally and intimately, approaching Him with radical honesty, trust, and expectancy.
Connection with God’s People:
We believe relationships are worth fighting for with God and His people; therefore, we commit to passionately and sacrificially seeking the presence of God daily and walking in honor and love, and treating others with dignity.
We value the discipline of gathering generations together in the presence of the Father at least one time during the week, typically on Sundays.
We welcome the responsibility, inconvenience and cost associated with loving and being connected with the imperfect humans in the Body of Christ.
-
Identity:
We embrace our Christ-like identity, individual callings, and supernatural giftings, purchased through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. By this faith in Jesus Christ- we are a new creation ready to grow and go and do good works!
Becoming born again now gives us the ability and opportunity to grow in our character and Christ-likeness through following God’s Word and having external accountability through relationships with other believers in community.
Godly Character:
The formation of strong, Christlike character as the foundation for every spiritual gift and calling. While gifts may open doors, it is integrity, humility, and obedience that sustain a life of lasting fruitfulness in God’s kingdom. We believe true influence flows from a life that is deeply rooted in Christ and shaped by His Spirit. We are committed to cultivating hearts that reflect Jesus — honoring God in both public ministry and private life. As character is formed and refined, we believe the gifts God has placed within each person can be stewarded with wisdom, maturity, and faithfulness for the long-term strengthening of the body of Christ.
The Family:
The restoration of the family is central to the restoration of communities and society as a whole. Strong, healthy families create a foundation where faith can be nurtured, identity can be formed, and future generations can flourish in truth and love.
We are committed to strengthening marriages, equipping parents, and creating a church family where every generation is supported and valued. As families are restored and anchored in Christ, we believe homes become places of healing, discipleship, and lasting impact that extend far beyond the walls of the church.
-
God’s Word:
Our foundation is the Holy Bible, guiding our teachings and preaching, ensuring that Christ remains at the center of all we do.
We firmly root ourselves in the truth and authority of the Bible as the living Word of God. We believe Scripture reveals the heart of God, forms the foundation for every area of life, and guides us in knowing Jesus, growing in faith, and living out our purpose with clarity and conviction.
Presence-Centered Worship:
Presence-centered worship is how we connect with and glorify God. It is the fundamental expression of our devotion and the primary reason we gather.
Prayer:
Prayer as essential to everything we are and everything we do. Prayer is how we remain connected to the heart of God, receive His direction, and see His will established in our lives, our church, and our city. We believe lasting transformation happens not by human effort alone, but through dependence on God in prayer.
Through personal and corporate prayer, we seek God’s presence, wisdom, and power — interceding for our families, our community, and the world. Prayer keeps us grounded, aligned with the Holy Spirit, and attentive to what God is doing, reminding us that true fruit comes from abiding in Him.
Activation
-
We believe that every member is a harvester/ evangelist/ minister/ missionary with a divine opportunity to demonstrate the power of God and share their story of His love.
We commit to always having an eye for the one. Every time we gather, we create opportunities for people to be changed by the power and love of Jesus Christ.
We refuse to wait for cities and nations to come to us. We will bring the tidal wave of God’s Kingdom to them.
As a community, we joyfully engage in culture and society, reshaping it through bold, creative, and innovative expressions that reflect the nature and heart of the Father. As we do this, we are bringing Heaven’s beauty back to earth, being the Church.
As ministers of reconciliation, we endeavor to ignite a global renaissance revealing the truth, beauty, and goodness of God.
-
The Christian life goes beyond salvation alone. We are called to walk daily in the power of the Holy Spirit — empowered to share the gospel with boldness, demonstrate the love of Jesus, and minister to one another with spiritual gifts that strengthen the body of Christ.
We pursue a Spirit-filled life that equips every believer to live on mission, bringing healing, freedom, and hope to both the church and the world around us.
We actively engage in the supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit. As a movement, we celebrate all the gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy, healing and deliverance, miracles and other demonstrations of the power of God at work in His Body.
-
Stewardship, faithfulness, & generosity extend into every place God has given us influence. Whether in the workplace, in business, at home, or within the local church, we are called to represent Christ with integrity, diligence, and love. Our work, leadership, and relationships become opportunities to reflect His character and serve others well.
What we have is not our own - they belong to God and we will be held accountable for how we managed and multiply all that God gave us on this side of heaven.
We encourage every person to see their daily life as sacred ground — leading their families with care, conducting business with honesty and excellence, serving faithfully in their workplace, and strengthening the local church. As we remain faithful where God has placed us, we trust Him to multiply our influence for the good of our community and the glory of His name.
To the best of our ability, we want our yes to be our yes, our no to be our no and who we are in private to be who we are in public!
